OMP Unison planning is OMP’s next‑generation, unified planning platform that brings demand planning, supply planning, and production scheduling together into a single, integrated planning environment. Rather than operating separate planning processes in isolation, Unison Planning synchronizes decisions across horizons and functions, using shared data models and advanced optimization to improve responsiveness, inventory positioning, and service levels. It is designed for complex, enterprise‑scale environments where planning must adapt quickly to demand volatility, supply constraints, and execution realities, while remaining tightly aligned with downstream order management and fulfillment processes.
As OMP architects, we collaborate with the customer to ensure the proper solution is put in place. A proper solution can differ. Often a design starts with some tips and tricks for end users. How can existing tools be leveraged to improve the end user experience on short term? Next we ensure listening to end users, key users and analysts to define a proper future way of working. Sometimes this consists out of limited quick wins, sometimes a customer-specific solution is designed.
When new solutions have to be designed, we focus on solutions that last. A solution has to be well thought of to ensure a robust, scalable and future-proof design. Clear core requirements get defined and the supporting framework will get implemented. Next functionalities get added based on priority. This agile approach ensures good alignment and early delivery of end user value.
Our expertise is built through various projects in process and discrete industries, the team has a broad experience in both local as well as global implementations for projects in life sciences, consumer goods, chemicals, metals, building products and tires.
The major domains we get involved in are:
- Data integration: SAP integration, OMP Namespace, Advanced Download Configurator (ADC), Aggregated Data Maintenance (ADM), file integration, OMP Datahub APIs, …
- Solver configuration and tuning, parametrization
- Performance improvements, data loading improvement, multi user tuning, custom logic and macro performance (OPAL), code quality reviews
- Review of designs, upgrade approach, test support and integration roadmaps
- Critical situation troubleshooting, defining path forward and quick wins
Being seasoned OMP architects, we don’t just know how to use the tools, we know what the tools do for us. This deep understanding allows us to deliver above average solutions.
